1. Who we are
VUNARA operates a digital platform for the African adventure economy: a species discovery passport, quests, creator content, and a marketplace where travellers book experiences operated by local communities and conservation partners.
By creating an account, booking an experience, or using any part of the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use VUNARA.
2. Your account and passport
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details on your account and for keeping your login secure. You must be at least 18 years old to book an experience, and old enough to lawfully use the platform in your country.
Your explorer passport, XP, levels and badges are tied to your account. They are recognition of activity on VUNARA, carry no cash value, and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged outside the platform.
3. Quests, XP and VUNA tokens
Quests and discoveries are intended to encourage real, responsible wildlife observation. Rewards are granted when our identification service verifies a genuine sighting tied to your own account.
We may adjust, withhold or reverse rewards where a submission is duplicated, fabricated, or captured from another source. Automated attempts to farm rewards, script submissions, or misrepresent a sighting break these terms.
4. Marketplace bookings
Experiences are operated by independent local operators and conservation partners, not by VUNARA. We present their listings, take payment securely, and route the operator's share to them. The operator is responsible for delivering the experience safely and as described.
Prices, dates, group sizes and inclusions are shown before you pay. The amount you are charged is always calculated by our systems from the listing, never from your browser, and your booking is confirmed once your payment is confirmed by our payment provider.
Cancellations, changes and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Conservation levy
Every booking includes a conservation levy, shown separately at checkout. It is passed to conservation partners and projects working in the regions where you travel.
The levy is part of the booking price and is subject to the same refund rules as the rest of your payment.
6. Creator content
You keep ownership of the photos, video and writing you publish. By posting on VUNARA you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, resize and promote that content within the platform and its marketing.
You must own or have permission for everything you upload, and must not photograph wildlife in a way that disturbs, baits or endangers it, or that breaks the rules of the park or reserve you are in.
7. Acceptable use
- •Do not harass other explorers, operators or our team.
- •Do not upload unlawful, misleading or harmful content.
- •Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the platform.
- •Do not book experiences you do not intend to attend, or resell bookings outside VUNARA.
8. Wildlife, safety and local rules
African wilderness is unpredictable. Always follow your guide's instructions, the rules of the park or reserve, and local law. VUNARA does not supervise the experience itself.
Never approach, feed or handle wildlife to obtain a photograph or a discovery.
9. Changes and ending your use
We may update these terms as the platform develops; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use VUNARA after a change means you accept the updated terms.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other explorers, operators or wildlife at risk.
